It’s basically perfect, and I would hope that anybody taking on such a project would realize that. Hopefully, any potential remake would not include touching the battle system at all. But of course, it wouldn’t be a perfect 1:1 either. There are definitely ways of making a 2D game 3D without losing the essence of what made it great in 2D. That’s the type of soft touch approach I’d like to see. And I would hate that art style in a CT game as well.īut to counterpoint that, the remake of Seiken Densetsu 3 is generally well regarded as being both faithful to the original while bringing the game to full 3D. I’m not a huge fan of the FFVIIR, and I would hate to see any potential remake/remaster deviate that far from the original.
But if it does well we may see new chrono games, which i am personally hoping for. If it turns out to be bad, we can always continue playing the older versions. Thats fine you can still play the older versions, i personally want to see a remake and how they handle it. The real question is when, not if it happens.Īs for the people saying it does not need it. Ff7 remake part 2, ff9 remaster, ff tactics, live a live, and we recently got ff1-6 pixel remaster, ff7 remake part 1. Square enix is in remake/ remaster mode right now. I personally think it is only a matter of time before it happens. Assuming someone does not acquire them, than it will depend on who acquired them on what they want to do. Maybe in the same way as the FF pixel remasters. With the approaching netflix styled video games services like Gamepass, spartacus, Ea play, and ubisoft plus it is almost certain someone will pay for a chrono trigger remaster/ remake.
